LogGate Pro v1.7 is available now on the App Store. This update is focused on the parts of the workflow that happened after you decided what to convert — getting footage in, getting it processed, and getting it out in the right format.
Here’s what changed.
Faster, More Reliable Processing from iCloud Drive, LucidLink, and NAS
If your footage lives on iCloud Drive, a LucidLink vault, or a network-attached storage drive, previous versions of LogGate Pro processed it over the remote connection — which meant slow reads, stalls, and occasional failed batches depending on your network conditions.
v1.7 fixes this. When LogGate Pro detects a cloud or network source, it now buffers the footage locally before processing begins. The result is the same fast, reliable batch you’d get from local files.
Your footage still never leaves your device. The buffering happens on-device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
One-Tap Export Presets for YouTube and Instagram
Delivering to YouTube or Instagram/Reels used to require you to know the right resolution, codec, and aspect ratio settings. v1.7 adds delivery-ready export presets:
- YouTube — SDR 16:9, optimized for upload
- Instagram / Reels — 9:16, ready to post
One tap. No manual configuration. The converted file lands exactly where you need it.
In-App Batch Summary
After every batch, LogGate Pro now shows a processing summary right inside the app: which clips succeeded, which failed, and why — along with total processing time.
Previously this report was saved as a file alongside your exports. It’s still saved, but now you can review it without leaving the app. If something fails, you’ll see a clear error message — codec issue, source permission problem, or something else — without guessing.
Everything Else Stays the Same
Apple Log, Apple Log 2, ProRes RAW, HDR-to-SDR, Open Gate AI crop, Look presets — all unchanged and still the core of what LogGate Pro does. v1.7 is a targeted improvement to the workflow around those conversions, not a rework.
