1. Scope

These Terms of Service apply to your use of the LogGate website at loggate.tech and our current apps: LogGate Pro, LogGate Frame, and LUT Lab.

By accessing the website, downloading an app, or using any LogGate product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or apps.

2. What LogGate Currently Offers

LogGate currently provides creative software focused on local media workflows.

  • LogGate Pro provides Apple Log conversion, local media processing, and related workflow tools.
  • LogGate Frame provides on-device media upscaling workflows, including current video and still-image support.
  • LUT Lab provides Apple Log preview, LUT-based grading, and export workflows on iPhone and iPad.

Our apps are designed around local, on-device processing. Your media remains your responsibility, including your rights to import, process, export, store, and share it.

3. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

You may use the website and apps only in compliance with applicable law and only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • use the products in a way that infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • upload, process, or distribute content you do not have permission to use;
  • attempt to disrupt, damage, disable, or interfere with the website, apps, or related infrastructure;
  • circumvent technical restrictions, licensing controls, or purchase gates except where applicable law clearly allows it;
  • use the products for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or deceptive activity.

4. License and Ownership

Subject to these Terms, LogGate grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the website and apps for your personal or internal business use.

The website, apps, branding, text, software, design, and related content are owned by LogGate or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

Unless applicable law permits it despite this limitation, you may not copy, modify, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, or redistribute the website or apps beyond normal permitted use.

5. Purchases, Billing, and Storefronts

Some LogGate products may be paid apps, and some may offer paid upgrades or in-app purchases. Pricing, trial availability, and feature access are presented at the point of purchase and may change over time.

When you purchase through Apple or another storefront, that provider handles payment processing, billing, and applicable refund rules. Your purchase may also be subject to that storefront’s own terms.

Based on our current product practices:

  • LogGate products are described publicly as no-cloud creative tools centered on local workflows.
  • LUT Lab’s current product materials describe a one-time Pro purchase, not a subscription.
  • Public LogGate messaging currently emphasizes no subscription positioning where stated on the relevant product page or storefront.

If purchase terms shown in a storefront differ from older website text, the storefront terms shown at the time of purchase control for that purchase.

6. Your Media and Local Processing

You retain ownership of your photos, videos, LUT files, project files, and other content you choose to use with LogGate products.

You are responsible for:

  • having the rights and permissions needed for any media you import, process, export, or share;
  • reviewing your output before relying on it for professional, commercial, legal, archival, or safety-sensitive use;
  • maintaining your own backups of original and exported media.

Our current apps are designed so that media processing happens locally on your device rather than on LogGate servers. We do not promise permanent availability of any locally stored app state if your device, operating system, permissions, or files change.

7. Website Use, Links, and Analytics

The website may include product pages, downloads, support links, contact links, blog content, and outbound links to third-party sites such as Apple App Store pages, GitHub, or social profiles.

Third-party services operate under their own terms and policies. LogGate is not responsible for third-party websites, storefronts, payment systems, or content outside our control.

The website currently uses cookies and analytics technologies as described in our Privacy Policy. Website analytics and cookie behavior are not the same as app-local media processing.

8. Updates, Changes, and Availability

We may update the website, apps, features, compatibility, pricing, or product descriptions at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue part of a product if needed for maintenance, legal, operational, or product reasons.

We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available forever or that every release will be compatible with every device, operating system version, codec, media format, or third-party platform.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website and apps are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

LogGate disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the website or apps will be error-free, secure, or compatible with every workflow.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LogGate will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or media loss arising from or related to your use of the website or apps.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LogGate’s total liability for any claim related to the website or apps will not exceed the amount you paid to LogGate for the specific product giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50 if no such payment was made.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LogGate from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the website or apps, your violation of these Terms, or your use of media or other content without the necessary rights.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as our products, website, storefront practices, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date on this page. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
